Sustainability Project Management Intern

What You Can Expect

As our Sustainability Project Management Intern, you will be responsible for supporting ENGIE's Capital Projects team, concentrated on energy conservation and infrastructure development, maintenance, and academic collaboration projects for The Ohio State University's Utility System. The primary responsibility for this candidate will be to assist in the execution of a sustainability competition hosted by the Ohio State Energy Partners. The ideal candidate has an interest in obtainingpractical experience workingin content development and design in the energy industry as well as assisting in various project management tasks.



  • You will collaborate with project managers and teams to create and execute print and digital materials, including fact sheets, infographics, flyers, presentations, construction signage, and reports and assist with procurement and invoice reconciliation for the Combined Heating and Cooling Powerplant project
  • You will design and disseminate marketing content for the biannual Smart Campus Challenge, interfacing with Ohio State staff, stakeholders, student groups, ENGIE personnel, and professionals
  • You will develop interfaces for energy conservation projects and sustainability initiatives, engaging with the Ohio State University community (students, faculty, contributors)
  • You will assess and respond to audience expectations with targeted material, optimizing existing content, and developing templates for consistent design formats, maintaining social media and digital media presence for various audiences
  • You will translate Ohio State Energy Partner's message to meet marketing and communications needs, producing content for distribution within a 150,000-employee company, and completing other related duties



This position will report to the Project Coordinator Analyst. This internship work term will start on June 2, 2025, and end on August 22, 2025.

What You'll Bring



  • Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior at The Ohio State University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy or EEDS (Environment, Economy, Development and Sustainability), or a related field.



Additional Details



  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
  • Minimum 10 hours a week; Additional hours may be available based on business needs and will be discussed in advance with your supervisor
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license; may drive company vehicle
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions



Compensation

Hourly Range: $22.50 to $24.50 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
