THE JOB:

The Director of Surveillance is responsible for overseeing daily surveillance operations while maintaining complete independence from other departments. This role ensures the integrity and security of the casino floor and property, focusing on detecting and preventing advantage play, cheating, theft, embezzlement, and illegal activities. A strong emphasis is placed on game protection to uphold compliance and operational security.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee and manage surveillance operations across gaming machines, video monitoring, lottery, cage booth cashiers, simulcast operations, and audio/visual recording of count room activities.

  • Ensure compliance with gaming regulations by cooperating with the local Gaming Commission and external agencies.

  • Lead internal audits of the Surveillance Room, ensuring adherence to gaming and internal controls.

  • Provide direct leadership by fostering a team-oriented environment, offering performance feedback, and ensuring employee recognition, development, and succession planning.

  • Manage the Surveillance team, including hiring, training, coaching, issuing commendations and discipline, and delegating assignments.

  • Develop and maintain budgets and Capital Expenditure Requests for the department, ensuring resource efficiency.

  • Evaluate and enhance surveillance systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

  • Ensure all surveillance equipment is fully operational and up to date, managing repairs and replacements as necessary.

  • Review daily activity reports and direct asset protection efforts, creating detailed logs and reports for senior leadership.

  • Conduct investigations utilizing all available surveillance systems and maintain electronic files and surveillance documentation for future reference.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The ideal candidate for the Director of Surveillance role should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, with a strong background in game protection, investigative procedures, and team leadership within a resort or casino setting.

  • With at least 2+ years of relevant experience, they will possess expert knowledge of gaming regulations and a proven ability to manage and develop teams.

  • The candidate will have exceptional investigative skills, with a focus on detecting fraud and compliance risks, and will be highly detail-oriented and analytical.

  • They will be an effective communicator, able to collaborate with internal teams, regulators, and law enforcement.

  • The Director will play a critical role in safeguarding gaming integrity and ensuring the protection of company assets.

The typical pay range for this role is:

$108,000.00 - $180,000.00

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's incentive plan.
