Now hiring a Supply Coordinator-PresNow- Paseo Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, carries out the functions of material supply management, regulatory compliance and continual readiness for PresNow Emergency and Urgent care services. Ideal Candidate: 2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment and familiarity with medical terminology, clinical processes and medical supplies or 6 months in supply chain operations, with focus on par replenishment and inventory management
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required.
Responsibilities
- Works with the Clinic Manager to establish and maintain medical supply and equipment par levels to support the work of Emergency and Urgent Care in their respective departments in collaboration with the processes established within the supply services department. Able to respond to the changing needs of emergency patient populations as they affect supply needs.
- Serves as a liaison between equipment and supply vendors and emergency services management.
- Manages and controls the departmental material management functions, including: stock and non-stock inventory and special orders, using Lawson ordering and tracking process. Identifies and facilitates the repair and replacement of equipment in a cost effective and efficient manner. Provides obsolescence tracking information of major equipment to facilitate the capital acquisition process. Assists in the identification and disposal of obsolete equipment and supplies.
- Acts as a resource to departmental personnel in matters such as purchasing procedures, timing and quantity of purchases and follow-up on delivery, developing positive relationships within sphere of influence including vendors, ISS and other support departments.
- Provides obsolescence tracking information of major equipment to facilitate the capital acquisition process. Assists in the identification and disposal of obsolete equipment and supplies.
- Compiles supply and purchasing reports, using historical data, proposed equipment needs research to assist leadership team in the development of supply and equipment budgets for the coming year.
- Perform activities for inventory receipt and put away, cycle counts, and expiration date monitoring, and checking for damaged supplies.
- Perform activities for par inventory replenishment; supply, shelving, and unit organization; bin labels; back order and substitute notification and shelving labels; patient charging; and returns
- Ensure that stock is rotated and handled according to department protocols and standards; Conduct cycle counts, and periodic physical inventories as required
- Perform tasks for addressing back-orders, stock-outs, substitutes, trials, conversions, and recalls
- On-call to provide emergent support for supply and facility needs.
- Communicate and interact with user-department personnel to ensure needs are met, report issues or concerns not being address adequately
- Actively participates in process improvement projects in the area of supply and equipment availability, acquisition and deployment.
- Works to support the organizational vision of continual readiness for JCAHO and CMS regulatory review. Ensure 100% compliance with all Federal and State healthcare regulations, TJC standards, and PHS Policies and Procedures; report issues or non-compliance observed
- Participates in and conducts monthly safety surveillance rounds for all CNM Emergency Departments as it pertains to OSHA, JCAHO and CMS standards, documenting all findings. Reports to appropriate area for correction and follows through to completion.
- Maintains a working knowledge of common OSHA, JCAHO and CMS standards and assist in communication of same to other staff members. *Contributes to the development of and assists in the implementation of new procedures and policies as needed to assess compliance issues. *Works to support the organizational vision of continual readiness for JCAHO and CMS regulatory review.
- Attends and actively participates in all scheduled staff meetings
- Represents CNM Emergency services on the Value Analysis Team.
- Directs day-to-day operations of supply technician
