Job Purpose The Service Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for maintenance, repair, and service projects within a power plant. This role involves analyzing project specifications, assessing labor and material costs, and ensuring that estimates are accurate and competitive. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review project specifications, blueprints, and technical documentation to understand project requirements. Calculate costs associated with labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Develop detailed cost estimates and proposals for maintenance and repair projects. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information and clarify project scope. Analyze historical data and market trends to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive. Prepare and present cost estimates to clients or internal stakeholders. Maintain a database of cost estimates, historical data, and vendor information. Monitor project budgets and provide updates or adjustments as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Required Qualifications * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent in field * Experience: 2 -5 years in field of estimating experience, including 2 years technical training Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. * Proven experience in estimating within the power plant or industrial sector. * Strong understanding of power plant operations, maintenance, and repair processes. * Proficiency in estimation software and tools. * Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. * Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
