Job Summary

The Senior Brand Manager will lead brand building initiatives across North America. The Senior Brand Manager influences cross-functional partners in a matrix organization to include Sales, Finance, Product Management, Global Brand Communications. This role oversees the Hair and Personal Care business for Remington.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Brand Manager will have responsibility for optimizing short- and long-term volume and profit performance for a brand portfolio by developing, championing & executing the strategic vision.



  • Drive delivery of business objectives for the brand including net sales, gross margin, and market share. (P&L leadership)
  • Lead development of Annual Operating Plan
  • Lead development of brand building initiatives for North America; lead brief development and execution of commercial programs in partnership with media agencies.
  • Provide clear direction to broader brand team to ensure brand initiatives are consistent with AOP; drive prioritization on resources (people, budget, capital) and keep team focused on core objectives.
  • Deliver excellence in execution by managing a rolling 18-month campaign plan tied to AOP. Execute clear, simple and frequent communication with the front end to ensure understanding and best in class execution of plans with retail customers.
  • Leverage knowledge of P&L and collaborate with finance and other partners to bring forward real time recommendations that protect net sales and operating profit goals.
  • Lead 4P Strategy for brand; Partner with sales on development, communication and go to market.
  • Lead 18-month view of consumption for brand; understand risk and opportunities with current year plan to deliver P&L goals and drive continuous improvement of plans to ensure all financial objectives are met.
  • Effectively manage and create Advertising and Consumer Promotion budget.
  • Collaborate with internal to understand the target consumer and track to metrics to evaluate our effectiveness in reaching that consumer; use consumer research and business analysis to understand the competition, channel dynamics, consumer segmentation & positioning, product segmentation and sales performance.


Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelors Degree in business
  • 8+yrs. experience in marketing with brand management and experience in the following areas:

    • P&L management; development and execution of brand marketing; cross- functional knowledge; direct experience in all various aspects of business including manufacturing, product & technology development and product supply
    • Strong understanding of brand foundational tools, consumer insight identification, segmentation and target development


  • Compelling communications in crafting and transforming a vision and strategy into actionable plans that inspires connection to the brand (internal and external).
  • Strong analytics skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving complex problems and translating to business opportunities
  • Experience in managing a team



Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of Circana or Nielsen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must exhibit strategic thinking skills
  • Must have ability to analyze complex data and situations and develop a range of simple solutions
  • Must be able to utilize quantitative, qualitative and syndicated research to develop brand plans
  • Must be an excellent presenter, with strong presence and an ability to influence key internal and external customers
  • Must have strong ability to interact and collaborate with multiple functions throughout the organization
  • Travel up to 20% of the work time.


Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Three days in office (Tues - Thurs) and flex Monday and Friday.
