Aspen Job Title: Theater Technician I & II Department: Wheeler Opera House Classification: Non-Exempt Position Summary: Works in cooperation with the Production Manager, Assistant Production Manager, Building Manager and House Manager to prepare the Wheeler Opera house for productions, consistent with the organization's values and mission statement. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: One year (Tech I) or two years (Tech II) of experience in building maintenance to include carpentry, electrical, facility maintenance work and/or sound, lighting, stage management, stage carpentry, or stage rigging. Technical Knowledge: Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, and Email. Licenses & Certifications: Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of start date. NOTE: This position requires a physical examination and Criminal Background Check upon hire. Employment is contingent upon passing a physical examination and Criminal Background Check. Position Type and Work Hours: Intermittent, 0 to 40 hours per work week, work is on an "as needed" basis. Evenings/Weekends: Will be required as programming schedule dictates. Work Environment:

Reaching: Extending the hands and arms or other device in any direction. Repetitive motions: Making frequent or continuous movements. Sitting: Remaining in a stationary position. Standing: Ability to sustain position for a period of time. Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Talking: Communicating ideas or exchanging information. Walking: Ability to move to traverse from one location to another.
