Department OverviewThe IPVideo department designs, engineers, and develops IoT based products for the safety and security industry. The team has developed the HALO and SentryERS products and continues to develop many more to add to the product portfolio. The department includes Cloud Development and Device Development teams. The Cloud Development team is responsible for all the web and mobile application development to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for our customers. Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the development and maintenance of our current web application. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PHP, C# .NET, and related technologies, along with a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role will involve responsibilities spanning backend development, including APIs and microservices, and frontend UI implementation.

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance our existing web application written primarily in PHP and C# .NET.
  • Design and implement APIs and microservices to support new features and integrations, focusing on scalability and performance.
  • Architect and implement backend data structures to efficiently manage and manipulate data.
  • Collaborate with product managers to translate design mockups into responsive and intuitive frontend UIs.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the application by leveraging cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment automation across both frontend and backend components.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of roven experience as a full-stack developer, with a focus on performance, scalability, and integration.
  • 5+ years of experience in PHP, .NET Core, Entity Framework
  • Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular and Quasar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Extensive Experience with the following AWS services & technologies: S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, RDS, Kinesis Firehose, AWS Lambda, MQTT, Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), testing methodologies, and agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Target Base Salary Range: $72,700 - $145,400 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
