Your Job
Molex is seeking a Finance Manager with strong strategic and communication skills to partner with our Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) leaders on critical objectives to maximize profitability. This highly visible role will work multi-functionally with commercial, operational, and distribution teams. The selected candidate will have global responsibility and be strong in setting a vision to ensure we are transforming our GSM-facing finance capabilities in line with a rapidly changing market. Based on candidate comparative advantage, the role may or may not have direct reports but the ability to understand the marketplace, prioritize KPIs, establish trust and credibility, challenge existing norms, and communicate at a leadership level is essential regardless of final organizational structure. What You Will Do * Distribution channel KPIs and performance trends: Be a primary point of contact for Molex performance within our distribution channel. Obtain and interpret trends as leading indicators of future performance. Set strategy with internal sales leaders and consistently measure internal and market revenue to extrapolate share in regions and industries. Carry message as a subject matter expert to highest organizational levels. * Focus forward: Set aspirational goals for revenue, spend, and profitability at levels that can be implemented by local teams. Examine resource deployment via efficiency metrics and highlight current/future state recommendations focusing on improvement. Investigate balancing investment of resources in response to changing markets and how Molex may respond commercially. * Decision support champion: Design and implement Decision Making Framework (DMF) rigor and show value through a combination of soundness and agility. Partner with internal teams on analyses coming in from the field to fast-track understanding and turnaround for quicker customer responses. Utilize intellectual curiosity to pursue marginal value addition with local teams to foster entrepreneurship. * Partner and provide insight: Work side by side GSM leadership to identify depth in available commercial data that provides implementable steps to increased profit. Engage in two-way dialog with sales and HR leaders to build a roadmap for headcount planning and appropriate investments. Assess projects for ROI, strategic importance, and tracking against KPIs to ensure discipline as well as organizational learning. * Advance PBM culture: Enhance the financial acumen and economic thinking of internal customers through coaching and training. Advance the Principle-Based Management culture by applying and reinforcing the companies Guiding Principles. Deploying a contribution motivated mindset to drive continued growth and improvement across the organization. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Minimum 5 years of experience in a Finance or related role * University degree in Operations/Finance or a related field * Experience utilizing financial acumen to make decisions and coaching others to do the same * Excellent data/financial modeling skills utilizing Excel, Power BI, etc. * Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate well both verbally and visually using various software mediums (ppt, Excel, word etc) * Experience with diverse stakeholders dependent on financial analysis * Agile in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to constructively challenge colleagues What Will Put You Ahead * Strategy Experience to consider solutions multi-functionally * Direct experience with long-term planning exercises * Experience working with a commercial organization * Strong systems knowledge with SAP/Salesforce being a distinct plus For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000-$150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
