We are currently seeking a SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Analyst/Consultant- hybrid-Houston-Spring, TX to join our team in Houston, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

This is an Analyst/Consultant role focused on SAP Sales and Distribution (SD).

  • Consult with multiple business process owners to identify, define, and document Business needs and Objectives, current processes, input and output requirements and configuration of Business Rules into numerous platforms from SAP-ERP, SAP-BW etc.
  • Participate and/or lead SAP projects (e.g. new implementation in new plants/regions, system enhancements)
  • Serve as liaison between business users and application service providers
  • Provide system support and enhancement requirements, by working with the SAP technical team or other service providers (multiple interfaces), for SAP modules namely
    • Sales and Distribution (High) - in area of Sales, Shipping, Transportation and Billing
    • Material Management (Med) - knowledge mainly on STOs
    • Production Planning (Med) - focus on forecasting, ATP analysis and MRP functions
    • Finance & Controlling (Low) - main support for Month end closing and intercompany transactions
  • Translate business requirements into SAP functional requirements and coordinate with application service providers for System implementation.
  • Run system implementation/change testing for Development or Change Requests. Conduct Training Sessions for end users when necessary, including training of SAP key users and users and reference documents creation.
  • Conduct and facilitate workshops with business for requirement gathering and provide best practice process solutions.
  • Support business in developing test scripts and testing solutions developed by SAP support team as per business requirement.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting Sales and Distribution interface issues.
  • Business support on handling master data updates (customer master mass changes, transportation relevant data, output conditions etc.)
  • Need to work during EMEA working hours to provide the required support effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business and Operations knowledge of Chemical Industry will be a plus
  • 10+ years' experience in SAP SD
  • Strong functional Configuration skills in Sales order processes, bill of lading , shipping, Quotations/ Orders/ Deliveries/ Billing ; Consignment Process ,Returns
  • SAP Document Output
  • Good Integration knowledge with SD-PP, SD-FICO, SD-MM, SD-WM
  • Very good Experience in ALE, EDI & IDOC's
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong Work experience with 3rd party Interfaces
  • ABAP debugging knowledge will be a Plus
  • Experience in preparing the Functional Specs, User documentations, Test case preparations
  • Demonstrate functional expertise in Order to Cash and Procure to Pay Processes
  • Very Good understanding of internal business processes in SAP SD function
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently on complex assignments
  • Must have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders easily and effectively on all levels
  • Position requires the ability to understand concepts, best practices, and execution of business analysis and project management
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 8 years SAP SD

Minimum 1 year SAP MM

Minimum 1 year SAP PP

Resource needs to be local to Houston. Work option is hybrid - 2 to 3 days in Houston/Spring Office
