Job Summary:

The Quality Supervisor, also called a Group Quality Leader internally, is responsible for leading and improving quality operations in our ISO 9001 and AIB certified plant. The GQL role is critical in driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and addressing the customer complaints by implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. This position is overseeing quality control processes, problem-solving initiatives, and fostering a strong quality culture where operators take ownership of producing confirming products. This role requires a hands-on leader with expertise in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies to reduce defects. The Group Quality Leader collaborates closely with production, engineering, training, and customer returns center team, to identify quality gaps and resolve recurring issues.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Oversee quality operations to ensure compliance with the MQS, ISO 9001 and AIB certification requirements.
  • Lead and support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using structure methodologies such 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Whys
  • Ensure proper inspection and verification of products in accordance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Supervise the Quality Assurance Technicians team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and customer requirements.
  • Promote quality culture, ensuring operators take ownership of product conformity and positive release.

Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience and Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 3-5+ years of experience in a quality supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies, such RCA, FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma.
    • Prior experience working with customer complaints, audits, and regulatory compliance.
    • Prior experience and/or working knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and AIB or Food Safety.
    • Certification in ISO 9001, AIB or any Food Safety and quality program is preferred.
