AESC is expanding its footprint in the United States with gigafactories in Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee to meet the growing demand for EV and BESS batteries and strengthen its presence in the North American market. AESC's Tennessee gigafactory in Smyrna, which has been operational and supplying electric vehicle batteries for the Nissan LEAF since 2012, was retooled in 2025 and now produces batteries for Energy Storage Systems. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply next generation cells for BMW starting in 2026. The Kentucky gigafactory in Bowling Green will supply high-performance batteries and components for other OEMs. AESC is committed to our local communities where it is making investments, creating jobs, and supporting local charities.

About the Role

As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. Reporting to the Senior IT Manager BG, you will be responsible for providing exceptional IT support across multiple locations, including South Carolina, Kentucky, California, and Tennessee. As the main coordinator for IT support across our plants, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely resolution of IT-related issues and alignment with the company's technical needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to work collaboratively with system analysts in different regions.

What You Will Do
  • Provide outstanding IT support to all plant locations within the US. Act as the first point of contact for technical issues, troubleshooting, and resolving problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with system analysts at various plant locations to ensure the proper handling of IT tickets, monitor ticket status, and maintain clear communication to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Assist with regional IT projects, including new system rollouts, updates, and upgrades, ensuring alignment and successful execution across all locations.
  • Maintain a centralized tracking system for IT tickets and ensure proper documentation of issues, resolutions, and escalations. Ensure timely follow-up and closure of all support tickets.
  • Provide on-site IT support and troubleshooting as required at the various plants (South Carolina, Kentucky, California, Tennessee). Travel will be required periodically based on project and support needs.
  • Work closely with other IT team members, plant management, and department heads to ensure that IT infrastructure supports operational goals. Provide regular updates and status reports to leadership on IT support and project progress.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems, software, and best practices to enhance their productivity and reduce recurring technical issues.
  • Manage the IT onboarding process for all new hires within the US region, ensuring they are properly equipped with the necessary hardware, software, and access to systems. Provide orientation and training on IT policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and coach IT analysts to improve performance and skills. Facilitate lessons learned sessions, share best practices, and help the team grow through ongoing training initiatives.

Qualifications
What You Need
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network administration, hardware/software troubleshooting, IT systems, and ticketing systems (e.g. Spiceworks, Manage Engine SD+). Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, effective support to a diverse set of users. Strong customer service orientation is critical.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute IT-related projects from initiation to completion.
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards.
What is "Nice to Have"?
  • Experience in manufacturing in a multi-location environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications in relevant areas (such as CompTia A+, Net+, MCSE certifications)
  • Experience coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders is a plus.
  • Multilingual proficiency.
  • Cross-cultural experience.

Travel

Occasional domestic travel required. Willingness and ability to travel between locations as needed (up to 20-30% of the time).

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
