Financial Affairs is headed by the Chief Financial Officer and is divided into six groups: Financial Affairs; Treasury; General Accounting; Budget Management Analysis and Contracts; Grant Management; and Procurement Operations. The core mission of these groups is to provide accurate financial information so that Metra can run its business efficiently. Together these departments employ approximately 170 people. The Timekeeper will be responsible for clerical functions such as maintaining and entering all department timekeeping activities into Kronos, review all overtime reports and exception reports in the period close procedures and secures the appropriate supervisory approvals. Also responsible for the handling the preparation of payroll and various reports necessary for maintaining employee earnings records, vacation, absenteeism and employment records. The final salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications. Those with 8 years or more of required experience can expect offers up to the midpoint of the salary range.
