Position Title: Assistant Professor of Sociology The University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites applications for full-time (9-month), tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate will have a primary appointment and tenure home in the Sociology Department, will teach and mentor undergraduate students, engage in scholarly research, and participate in University and professional service. We are seeking a generalist in Sociology. The department seeks applicants who can teach a broad range of courses providing a Sociological perspective including, but not limited to: Introduction to Sociology, Research Methods, Statistics for the Social Sciences, and Sociological Theory. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching, evidence of scholarly productivity, and a clear research agenda. The department particularly values scholars whose work connects to communities. The position requires teaching (4/4 teaching load, 24 credits per year), research, and service responsibilities. Opportunities to teach in UW-Parkside's Master of Arts in Applied Professional Studies and additional courses in the summer semester may be available for additional compensation depending upon the needs of the Department.
