Learn how to become a Table Games Dealer! Dive into ourDealer Trainee ProgramstartingMay 13th, 2025. From Tuesday to Friday, over 18 electrifying weeks, we'll transform you from novice to table games titan!

Master the art of Blackjack and Baccarat. Conquer the classics! We'll arm you with the skills to deal blackjack and baccarat, prepare you to excel at your audition and earn a part-time role dealing games at the MGM National Harbor.

IMPORTANT ORIENTATION INFORMATION:

Before starting the training on January 28th, there will be a mandatory paid orientation session on Monday, May 12th, 2025 at 11:00 am. This is a required step for all candidates and will provide an overview of the program and what to expect.

CLASS TIMES OFFERED:

  • 7:00 am - 11:00 am
  • 11:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
  • 8:30 pm - 12:30 am

SKILLS OFFERED: Blackjack and Craps

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Weeks 1-6: Blackjack and Carnival Games Training

  • The first 6 weeks of the program will focus on Blackjack and popular Carnival Games such as 3 Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold'em. You'll learn the fundamentals of each game, including game rules, payouts, betting strategies, and customer service techniques. Throughout this period, you will engage in hands-on practice to build confidence and proficiency, with regular assessments to track your progress.

Weeks 7-12: Baccarat Training

  • The final 6 weeks will focus on Mini Baccarat and Midi Baccarat. You'll learn the game's equipment, terminology, and rules, along with essential skills like card delivery, placing bets, and managing the game flow. In addition, you'll be introduced to advanced topics like shuffle procedures, game protection, and how to handle special bets (such as Dragon Bonus and Royal 9). Regular quizzes and mock auditions will ensure you're ready for the casino floor by the end of the program.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Excellent in math.
  • Has a strong presence or impressive demeanor.
  • Ability to attend all training classes.
  • Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.
  • Works well under pressure.

THE DAY-TO-DAY UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM:

  • Skillfully deal a variety of games including Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette, Craps, Carnival Games, and more.
  • Ensure the integrity of game operations, meticulously overseeing transactions and adhering to casino procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, remaining vigilant and responsive to all guest needs and inquiries.

Pay Range:

The starting rate for this role is:

$15.00

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
