Job Summary:

The Office Administrator will be responsible for all front office operations, serving as the first point of contact for the building and will manage the day-to-day operations related to the facility and the Human Resources function. This role will provide administrative support to senior leaders onsite, working with a wide range of team members and functions.

This is an onsite role based out of our Rochester, NY facility and will report to the Director, Human Resources.

You will make a difference in the following ways:




  • Answer and distribute incoming calls and receive all visitors to the building while ensuring proper sign-in requirements are met.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for office vendors and contractors, such as maintenance, repairs, building security, and cleaning services.
  • Perform various front office duties such as purchase of office supplies, sort and distribute mail, maintain company phone list, assist with various office shipments through UPS, FedEx, or other certified mailings.
  • Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, trainings, travel, and conferences.
  • Perform desktop publishing to include creating and developing visual presentations, typing general communications, and other activities to support various leaders.
  • Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of various employee engagement initiatives for the location.
  • Bea resource to employees by answering general HR related questions, providing guidance in a professional manner.
  • Manage all Environmental, Health and Safety reporting requirements for the location, working closely with the Director of Production and Quality Control.
  • Assist the Operations team with processing product labeling and shipments as needed.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of the facility, both internal and external.



What you bring:



  • Associate degree in Business Administration or administrative certificate required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of prior experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral andwritten, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach with a customer-centric attitude.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite to include the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.



Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $49,400-70,000, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
