Basic Function

The IT Product Lead - SuccessFactors is a senior role within the Digital Technology (DT) Organization and is the responsible to lead the definition, development, and management of SuccessFactors products within People and Culture. They are responsible for ensuring DT is aligned with the business by establishing the vision and strategy for DT products and services. They have to lead has a deep understanding of how related business processes and technologies work together and ensures DT solutions, DT services, and projects are aligned appropriately.

The IT Product Lead - SuccessFactors must have expertise in SuccessFactors Employee Central configuration, administration, and reporting. Additionally, experience or leadership in other SuccessFactors submodules such as Learning, Performance and Goals, Succession and Development, Recruiting, Compensation, or Workforce Analytics is highly preferred. This role requires the ability to communicate the differential value of these modules and outline a viable transition path, ensuring positive organizational change.

This role is open to candidates in Houston & Rotterdam.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position reports to the Manager, Business Interface - Corporate Services and will be responsible for establishing and directing the global DT direction within SAP and SuccessFactors ecosystem. This individual will partner with global cross-functional DT teams, business leadership to develop business segment roadmaps, short and long term project plans and identify technology trends for People and Culture.




  • Establish the vision and strategy for SuccessFactors and partner products and services, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Support development of strategic roadmaps short- and long-term initiatives and project plans and identify technology trends and opportunities.
  • Partner with other Business Analysts, DT execution teams, architects to deliver on strategic initiatives, designs and projects.
  • Lead and guide business leaders on SuccessFactors best practice solutions, explain SuccessFactors technicalities in business terms.
  • Lead and mentor couple business analysts, ensuring their work supports the strategic direction of the products.
  • High performer who is aligned with business goals and delivers impactful product solutions.
  • Drive ownership of project teams to deliver engagements, including: DT requirements, business justification models, business use cases, change management and communication plans, and business and technical architectures.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure Digital Technology is an integrated component of asset, site, and business strategies.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment on product development goals.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
  • Typically, 10+ years of combined configuration experience in SAP HCM and SuccessFactors with minimum 6 years in SuccessFactors.
  • Minimum two full lifecycle implementation experience.
  • Team leadership experience with ability to motivate others and resolve conflict.
  • Experience in EC Data models and ability to configure.
  • Experience in working with web APIs. Specifically, SFAPI, SF Odata Query's, any SOAP/REST API etc.
  • Experience in configuration of Outbound Interface files from the Integration Center.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Goal driven, action oriented.
  • When needed, can say "no" by offering meaningful alternatives.
  • Understand the drivers of organizational change and interdependencies among all the moving parts.
  • Value Oriented, understands technology is a tool with overriding goal of business success
  • Partners closely with business partners to analyze new projects and readiness for governance decisions and provides transparency of portfolio investments.
  • More than an "order taker," they are demand shapers - stimulating, surfacing and shaping business demand.
  • Well-grounded in service management, representing DT to the business.
  • Communicate and defend DT policies and standards and understand how DT services benefit the business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Certifications for Success Factors Employee Central is preferred.
  • Consulting firm experience, directly working for Big 4 firms supporting enterprise clients.
  • Chemical/Energy industry background is a plus.
  • Exposure to Agile frameworks, SCRUM or KANBAN.
  • The candidate must have the ability to be detail oriented and strong analytical skills.
  • A Strong sense of positive in natured, proactive approach, and a solid focus on delivery the results.
