Job Title: Instructional Designer

Duration: End of this year

100% Remote


Job Description:

  • Assess the needs of the organization
  • Evaluate all aspects of entity training
  • Conduct education and training needs assessment
  • Plan and design education/training material
  • Identifies scope and outcomes of trainings and training initiatives
  • Works with supervisors/managers to develop plans, timetables and contingencies for performance improvement intervention
  • Consult with stakeholders and apply advanced instructional design to new/existing trainings
  • Establish standards for training and performance assessment
  • Develop curricula
  • Design effective intervention strategies that improve individual and organizational performance
  • Introduce new training ideas into the organization, adapts new ideas and converts them into approaches that meet training/regulatory challenges
  • Leads projects - May oversee other instructors and their work - may Train instructors
  • Motivates participants and leads project to conclusion
  • Facilitate team interventions
  • Assess impact of training on job performance
  • Participates in benchmarking and evaluates training effectiveness
  • May participate in internal audits



Eligibility Requirements:

  • Advanced Instructional Design experience
  • Instructional Design Certificate
  • Experience with all learning modalities
  • Graphic Design and Illustration experience
  • Understanding and ability to leverage the ADDIE model or other ID methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in rapid ID development
  • Use of tools such as Articulate, Vyond, Canva, and other video editing software
  • Continuous learning in the ID space is a bonus
  • Nice to have GXP experience



Key Competencies Required

  • Excellent project management capabilities, strong communication skills, strong conceptual abilities, and strong team orientation. Work effectively with subject matter experts in the pharmaceutical safety space and the Strategic Learning organization, to synthesize knowledge and recommend effective and creative uses of technologies to create new learning environments.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of the organization; Design effective intervention strategies that improve individual and organizational performance; Establish standards for training and performance assessment. Conduct education needs assessment; Develop curricula; Consult and apply advanced instructional design; Plan and design education/training material; Train instructors; Evaluate all aspects of entity training; Assess impact of training on job performance; Facilitate team interventions; Participate in internal audits. Introduces new training ideas into the organization, adapts new ideas and converts them into approaches that meet training/regulatory challenges. Leads projects, identifies scope and outcomes, motivates participants and leads project to conclusion. May oversee other instructors and their work. Works with supervisors/managers to develop plans, timetables and contingencies for performance improvement intervention. Participates in benchmarking and evaluates training effectiveness. Establishes measurement and evaluation designs and develops assessment instruments. Possible light management, team lead.


Education: BA/BS required.

Experience: 3-5 years of training/instructional design or related experience preferably in healthcare or other regulated field.

Key Competencies Required: Excellent project management capabilities, strong communication skills, strong conceptual abilities, and strong team orientation.
