Job Summary (Primary function)
Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Executive Director will serve as the integrator between field sales, brand strategy and Commercial Operations. They will also manage the Field Director of Government and Strategic Accounts and serve as the project management leader for all initiatives related to the sales force.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

  • Work closely with Commercial Operations and Serve as the Project Management Leader for:
    • Multi-Channel Engagement.
    • Sales force design and alignment.
    • Sales force incentive plan and contest communication.
    • Timelines related to significant changes in the sales force.
    • Quarterly Business Reviews, National/Regional Meetings and Leadership Team Meetings.
  • Will lead the Field Director of Government and Strategic Accounts:
    • Create strategy, pull through and execution plan, and field communications to maximize opportunity in the VA and other government accounts.
    • Work with Market Access to deep dives into key Regional Accounts.
  • Will be embedded with brand strategy teams in order to:
    • Communicate the brand strategy in a timely manner to sales leadership.
    • Provide input into brand strategy from a field perspective.
  • Assist the VP of Sales with:
    • Interviewing for all field sales positions.
    • Identifying talent in and outside of the organization.
    • Developing content for sales meetings and leadership presentations.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 10 + years pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry required.
  • Sales, sales leadership and marketing experience.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Working knowledge of market research, forecasting and statistical analytical techniques.
  • Knowledge of Oncology/Hematology market preferred.
  • PC literate including Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with presentation experience to all management levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage concurrent cross-functional projects.
