Position Summary
The Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions is the third in a series of progressively responsible positions within the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Officer III provides services and answers questions for prospective students, their families, and their guidance or transfer counselor; second, serves as an effective member of the recruitment team to encourage academically qualified, intellectually curious, and actively involved first-year and transfer students from a variety of student populations to attend the University of Georgia. Individual is responsible for managing various Admissions programs.

Manage a recruitment territory, both in Georgia and nationally by actively traveling to high schools and two-year colleges to meet with counselors, parents and prospective students. Attend College fairs and maintain regular contact with prospects, applicants, and counselors.

Conduct dynamic presentations and effectively answer questions about admissions and application processes, provide admission counseling and information sessions with visiting students and families, in person and in group settings as well as by telephone, correspondence and e-mail. Aid in public relations and recruitment programs.

Assist with admissions applications and scholarship processing and selection for first year and transfer students. Serve as departmental liaison with other offices and agencies of the University.
