Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead landfill management, operations, inspection, and maintenance services for the Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility (ERDF) and the Integrated Disposal Facility (IDF) at the Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site near Richland, Washington. The successful candidate will perform a critical role supporting DOE's cleanup mission at Hanford, the largest in the DOE complex. The PM manages a team of approximately 60 employees (20 professional and 40 craft - equipment operators, laborers, and mechanics). Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring resources are available to support the scope of work (management, supervision, technical support, administrative support, and craft).
  • Developing and implementing programs as required by the subcontract (Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Human Resources).
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the operations by the application of the Integrated Management Safety System principles to improve safety, people, quality, and cost.
  • Build a culture that empowers and motivates leadership and teamwork at all levels of the organization.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Interfacing with Waste Operations management and supporting organizations.
  • Interfacing with Building Trades site representation and unions.
  • Ensuring tools, materials, and consumables are available to support operations.
  • Securing subcontracts as necessary to support facility operations and maintenance.
  • Providing timely invoicing and supporting documentation.

The position requires daily onsite presence at ERDF/IDF. The site currently operates on a 4 days per week/10 hours per day schedule (Monday - Thursday).

This PM performs duties primarily in a field office setting. However, the position does require limited activities in outdoor landfill and equipment maintenance shop environments.

Qualifications include:

  • 15 years General Construction Management Experience.
  • 5 years at project management level of which 3 years include working with radiological contaminated material and chemical and hazardous material handling experience.
  • 5 Years DOE Site Experience
  • Organization, written communication, and oral communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work constructively in diverse teams including engineers, scientists, technicians, and construction (craft) personnel.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain security access to DOE Hanford site.
  • Must possess valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to physically navigate construction sites.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Compensation

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Base pay is just one component of CTI's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $180,000 - $215,000 salary per year
