Monday-Friday (7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30pm) *Competitive Pay* - $18.00-19.00 an hour *Expedited Interviews* - Access to additional Resume support and pre-interview questions * * *A day in the role...* * This person will be the administrative assistant in charge of documenting and tracking the specimens taken in the lab and make sure they are labeled properly. This person is making sure that lab orders get packaged appropriately and go to the right place, whether it's for, this study and then also have some mechanism to ensure that it gets back and be able to follow up if in fact, it's not back in the timeline that was expected. * They are entering this information into a specific pathology software as well as the hospital's EMR which is within Power Chart and Eclipses * Volume: there are enough samples to stay busy for 8 hours, high volume, very busy area. They are receiving specimens from other institutions as well * Administrative tasks - Filing, scanning, reports, updating medical charts * This opening is in the Pathology Division: * The majority of what they handle are specimens that come from patients. * The pathology department processes the specimen items from patients items logs them. * It is very important that it's well tracked to make sure that when the pathologists are studying these tissues to determine if it's cancer or some other diagnosis that those specific samples do not get disconnected from the actual patient that they came from. * * *Necessary Skills and Strengths:* Strong Computer Skills | Great Customer/Patient Service | Medical Terminology | Patient Registration | Medical Insurance Knowledge | Insurance Payer Knowledge | EMR Systems | Specimen Tracking | Pathology Lab | Lab Experience | Data Entry | Patient Accounts *Core Experience:* * Medical Receptionist * Patient Registration * Patient Access * Lab Experience *huge plus* * Experience working with specimen *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
