Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the AVP, Career Services and other members of the Career Services leadership team to understand institutional needs and provide a high level of service to stakeholders; contribute to strategic, operational, and managerial leadership of Career Services
  • Set strategic direction for all Career Services communications to ensure consistent branding and voice; Provides oversight to social media, marketing, mass communications, website copy, and special events marketing
  • Develops and executes special event pathways for recruiters to connect with students across industry, disciplines and degree levels including but not limited to career fairs, panels, on-campus recruiting events, and Career Tours
  • Work closely with the Employer Relations Team and Advising Team to translate employer connections and outreach to students via Career Services 14 unique Career Communities
  • Directly supervise the Marketing and Events Coordinator and the Operations Coordinator; indirectly supervise marketing and programming peer advisors (student employees)
  • Serve as Career Services' primary liaison to Loyola Linked, a student-alumni mentorship platform; provide ongoing data and metrics on platform usage; collaborate with Alumni Relations and other key campus partners on the platform's direction and management
  • Collaborate with campus partners, faculty, student organizations, and employers on co-sponsored events and career fair planning committees
  • Collect and analyze feedback, metrics, and data to apply to annual reports, future planning, and division-wide initiatives
  • Contribute to career outcomes collection and promotion

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, communications, marketing, or a similar program
  • Preferred master's degree.


Minimum Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of full-time experience creating communication vehicles & special events
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing other full-time staff.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for working with college students and alumni.
  • Experience working with recruiters.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in rapidly changing environment.
  • Managerial experience.
  • Knowledge of social media as a marketing & communication tool.

Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive and web content management.
  • Familiarity with basic database functionality (Handshake, People Grove)
  • Proficiency in social media for event and program promotion purposes.
  • Familiarity with design tools (Canva, etc.)
