About the Role

We're seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic to oversee daily maintenance operations and support production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This first-shift position (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM) offers an excellent chance to showcase your technical expertise and leadership abilities, driving optimal equipment performance, reducing downtime, and contributing to the overall success of our organization

As the Lead Maintenance Mechanic, you'll manage a team of 6-8 skilled technicians, taking charge of day-to-day operations while fostering their growth and skills development.

This role also offers the chance to work with a diverse array of equipment supporting heaters and sensors across a variety of industries, including semiconductor, aerospace, defense, medical and clinical applications, as well as industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, assigning daily tasks and prioritizing workloads to maximize productivity and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections, identify maintenance needs, and prioritize repair tasks.
  • Oversee and coordinate with external facility support vendors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory using a CMMS.
  • Train and mentor maintenance technicians, fostering skill growth, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and implement effective solutions to minimize production interruptions.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.


Qualifications:



  • High-school graduate/GED preferred
  • Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (5+ years)
  • Proven leadership experience in a maintenance or related field, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to equipment maintenance.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours and respond to emergency situations.
  • Proficiency with CMMS for tracking and documenting maintenance activities.
