Diet Clerk - Part-Time

(Weekends Required)



Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the dietitian, the Diet Clerk provides clinical support by ensuring accurate therapeutic menu selections and proper tray temperatures for patients.

    Assists patients with menu selections
  • Prepares late trays, ensuring correct diet, presentation, and timely delivery
  • Schedules nourishments according to meal patterns
  • Updates patient diet information in the system
  • Verifies menu accuracy using a computer system.
  • Monitors food temperatures before trayline and addresses any issues.
  • Manages clerical duties such as meal statistics and meal recording.
  • Performs other duties as needed.


Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  1. AA degree in Food Science/Nutrition preferred.
  2. One (1) year of healthcare experience working with modified diets preferred

County Specific requirement.

  1. County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current
