We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Supplier Quality Engineer

As the leading supply chain solutions business in the aerospace industry Customers are at the heart of our business.

The Supplier Quality Leader is responsible for leading on-site supplier audits and driving quality performance across the supply base to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO standards, and Incora's supplier requirements. This role requires deep expertise in aerospace manufacturing processes, auditing practices, and root cause analysis. The SQL evaluates supplier processes, documentation, testing methods, and finished products for conformance, and manages the full lifecycle of corrective actions to ensure timely and effective closure.

In this senior-level role, the SQL leads supplier qualification and risk assessments, monitors supplier scorecards, and ensures non-conformances are addressed with validated corrective actions. The SQL also performs technical evaluations and dimensional assessments as needed, working cross-functionally with sales, customers, suppliers, and external labs to resolve issues and meet customer requirements. Through proactive oversight and communication, the SQL ensures that corrective measures and product releases align with Incora's Quality Assurance standards and industry regulations.

Key Activities will include:

  • Lead and oversee the execution of new supplier audits aligned with Incora's global quality improvement strategy, utilizing standardized Supplier Quality Audit & Evaluation tools and Incora Work Instructions.
  • Own the analysis of systemic supplier issues by reviewing product rejection trends, scorecards, and historical non-conformances, and deploy targeted audit and corrective action strategies to prevent quality deterioration.
  • Define audit scopes, develop appropriate evaluation frameworks, and manage supplier engagement and scheduling for effective execution of audits.
  • Conduct and lead comprehensive on-site supplier assessments to validate corrective actions and verify implementation of quality systems to prevent recurrence of non-compliance.
  • Initiate and manage non-conformance reports tied to supplier audit findings, ensuring timely responses and driving accountability to meet response deadlines.

About the role:

  • Direct and validate technical evaluations of suspect products using advanced metrology tools, engineering principles, and in-depth interpretation of customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Oversee the resolution process for supplier non-conformances, including internal and customer communication, validation of corrective actions, and closure of claims in Incora's data systems.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and customers to maintain transparency throughout evaluation and corrective action cycles, including timely updates and detailed reporting.
  • Lead the completion and submission of customer-specific corrective action documentation, ensuring alignment with supplier responses and Incora's internal requirements.
  • Validate and formally close corrective action activities upon achieving satisfactory resolution, and ensure accurate documentation within the data management system.
  • Provide expert guidance on technical specifications, drawing interpretation, and certification reviews when supporting Inspection or Sales teams.
  • Mentor, coach, and support the development supplier quality engineers, sharing best practices in supplier quality auditing, root cause analysis, and the application of Incora Supplier Quality procedures.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time, both domestically and internationally, as needed to support supplier development and issue resolution.

About you:

  • 8+ years in Quality Assurance within regulated manufacturing, with a strong focus on supplier quality.
  • Direct experience managing supplier-facing quality activities, audits, and issue resolution.
  • Proficient in GD&T, PFMEA, Gage R&R, and ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling methods.
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and applying quality standards.
  • Strong background in root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and corrective action planning.
  • Solid understanding of QMS tools (ISO 9001, AS9100) and continuous improvement practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

Preferred Qualification

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor - AS9100

Six sigma Green Belt

Lean knowledge and kaizen experience
