Vice President of Acquisition Operational Integration (Remote)

Summary

The VP of Acquisition Operation Integration will be responsible for evaluating alternate approaches and developing a comprehensive project plan for the seamless integration of an acquired entities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for operational details and the ability to collaborate across all departments. The successful candidate will manage the integration lifecycle from initial due diligence through to 12 months post-integration, ensuring successful transition, alignment of operational processes, and continuous improvement. Additionally, the VP will be responsible for tracking progress and publishing a monthly executive summary to keep stakeholders informed.



Responsibilities

  • Alternate Approach Evaluation:

    • Analyze and compare multiple integration approaches, taking into account:

      • Size of the acquired entity (measured by census)
      • Complexity factors such as the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in use
      • Number of clinicians and their operational dynamics
      • Volume and diversity of payor contracts, payor mix, and associated revenue models
      • Regulatory requirements (state and other governing bodies)
      • Capacity and readiness of the onsite team for training and execution


  • Integration Planning & Execution:

    • Develop a detailed project plan that aligns with strategic business goals and operational capabilities.
    • Oversee the integration lifecycle from initial due diligence to 12 months post-integration.
    • Manage integration milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

    • Work closely with leaders across departments (clinical, IT, operations, finance, legal, and HR) to ensure all aspects of the integration are addressed.
    • Facilitate regular interdepartmental meetings to ensure alignment and address emerging challenges

  • Performance Tracking & Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain a framework for tracking integration progress and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Prepare and publish a monthly executive summary detailing progress, challenges, and recommendations.
    • Ensure timely communication with senior leadership regarding integration outcomes and strategic adjustments.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for integration-related inquiries and issues.
    • Build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners to facilitate a smooth transition.
    • Provide regular updates to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.




Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, integration, or related roles with a proven track record of leading large-scale integration projects.
  • Extensive experience evaluating complex operational environments and integrating diverse systems, processes, and teams.
  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in the home health or broader healthcare industry.
    • Familiarity with EMR systems and healthcare regulatory requirements.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-stakes integration scenarios.
