Who is SSP?

Senior Aerospace SSP, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and qualifying complex ducting systems for aerospace applications. Since its humble roots in 1945, the campus has now expanded to include a 59,000 sq. ft high-volume production facility, in addition to its legacy 131,000 ft2 main buildings which combined, accommodate over 500 employees. Vertically integrated with its own foundry, fabrication shop, and ISO certified engineering lab, Senior Aerospace SSP acquired by Senior PLC in 1995 and has continued its expansion into new programs and technologies.

What does the job involve?

Summary: Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Responsible for monthly journal entries, financial reporting, month-end close, monthly schedules and reconciliations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:



  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts (general ledger, accruals, account analysis and postings)
  • Prepares financial statements and provides internal support
  • Responsible for monthly closings and internal reporting
  • Responsible for data collection & analysis
  • Responsible for high level reconciliations and account collections
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
  • Other duties with the work as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field with a minimum (5) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience (manufacturing company experience preferred).


Required Skills:



  • Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret all accounting tools, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply all accounting principles.


  • Other Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have MS Word and PowerPoint skills and excellent Excel skills. Experience with FRx preferred. Must have the desire and ability to work in a team environment.
