Description

Safely performs all duties associated with the operation, maintenance, and inspection of wind generation facility equipment. Responds to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled overtime. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • High School education with a technical degree in electrical, electronics, or mechanical field, or equivalent work experience acceptable to the Company.
  • Requires a strong aptitude to troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and computer equipment.
  • Strong math and computer skills, capable of reading and interpreting various equipment schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and take appropriate action.
  • Possess or acquire a valid motor vehicle driver's license appropriate for the position.
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands required of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Must be legally authorized to work in United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to Pre-employment Drug Testing Policy and Background Check.
  • Must successfully complete physical capabilities assessment for this position.
  • Must successfully complete the applicable power plant home study course.

  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.


  • May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Technical education or a degree in a related field and experience in the wind generation industry.
  • Familiar with combustion turbine equipment and operation.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with good written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to exceed the needs of the customer and grow the Company's regulated and non-regulated businesses.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Monitors status of wind generation equipment operation.
  • Responds to alarms and corrects abnormal conditions to maintain wind generation availability, capacity factor and performance.
  • Troubleshoots electrical, electronic, mechanical and computer problems. Corrects malfunctions and repairs equipment.
  • Develop procedures and schedules for inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Performs scheduled equipment inspections and maintenance including for FAA anti-collision lighting.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
