Location: Atlanta, GA Job Type : Full Time Shift/Schedule : Days JOB SUMMARY The mobility technician provides additional support for mobility initiatives. The mobility technician will be apart of a comprehensive mobility to assist with mobilizing patients and supporting nursing staff to improve patient safety. This position will report to the Director of Wound Care Services JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Documents appropriately when mobility interventions are performed Performs mobility interventions as directed by the supervising Charge or Lead Physical Therapist/RN. Participates in daily huddles and provides handoffs to frontline staff for patient care needs Operates safe patient handling equipment Assists with maintaining Joint commission and CMS standards Procure and deliver supplies to nursing units for safe patient handling. Schedules patients for daily mobility team interventions Performs rounds to determine patients that require the mobility team services Collaborate with nursing teams and other healthcare teams to ensure patient satisfaction Coaches bedside nursing staff in the delivery of care and assuring the care is best practices Performs education to patient, families and staff to promote optimal patient outcomes. Executes and facilitates excellent customer service to the departmental partners and patients Collaborates with Lead and nursing staff to create safe patient handling and mobilization plans of care. Performs bedside education and support Nursing staff Performs daily operations of the mobility team EDUCATION Required: High School diploma Preferred: Associate's degree EXPERIENCE Required: no prior experience required. Preferred: no prior experience required SKILLS/CERTS/LICENSES Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Preferred: CMA certification CNA certification |
