POSITION SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with policies, values and mission of the organization. Responsible for commonly performed echocardiography procedures with consistent proficiency. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program required. Current and valid ARDMS/CCI registry in Adult Echocardiography required. Maintains current and valid CPR certification. EXPERIENCE: Two years of competent experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, plus the additional details listed under the competencies section. SPECIAL SKILLS: Combines critical thinking and analytical skill to solve multi-tiered problems. Demonstrates effective oral, written and interactive skills. Detail orientated. Cooperative team player. Thrives in a fast paced, fluid environment. Steps in as an emerging leader in the department.
