Job Purpose: The Procurement Packaging Category Manager position, based in Cincinnati and reporting to the Head of Indirect Materials & Services, focuses on developing regional strategies for sourcing packaging materials according to the business plans of the Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrance & Beauty divisions. You will emphasize sustainability projects aimed at reducing carbon footprints and minimizing single-use plastics. Main Responsibilities: Source Strategy: Implement regional category strategies within the global framework. Provide strategic direction for local procurement teams on category management and supplier management. Analyze market trends to identify new sources and manage risks. Lead major sourcing events and negotiations, ensuring a vendor mix. Manage supplier performance and integrate sustainability into packaging strategies. Portfolio Management: Negotiate competitive pricing and establish best practices for contracts. Collaborate with Packaging Engineers and other departments to improve the portfolio. Analyze market conditions for pricing and availability trends. Manage main supplier relationships and lead performance processes. Partner Relationship: Lead packaging governance meetings and enhance communication channels. Contribute to sustainability and responsible sourcing projects. Cost Optimization and Business Planning: Prepare initiative plans aligned with business budgets. Develop cost reduction projects and provide market forecasts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or economics; a Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with a focus on packaging sourcing valued. International experience and fluency in English. Strong project management Power BI, and SAP.
