Preference will be given to candidates in either Sherburne, Anoka or Wright county. This associate will primarily cover Sherburne, Anoka or Wright county as their sales territory. Candidates must be located in MN.

The Impact You Will Have
This position supports field sales activity and participates in the growth of new enrollment for the consumer markets segment. This position develops and maintains relationships via the telephone, community meetings, and other field based activities in order to promote and improve the sales of all Blue Cross and ancillary line consumer markets segment products.

Your Responsibilities
  • Meets sales and sales development goals as assigned by management. Delivers presentations to groups/individuals to support, educate or enroll into appropriate BCBSMN plans.
  • Improves the sale of company products through determining suitability, eligibility and need; explains benefits for appropriate coverage, responds to questions, supplies relevant marketing material and assists with the application process.
  • As available, responsible for answering and following up on incoming sales calls and emails from prospective customers generated by marketing campaigns. Uses lead tracking software to manage prospective enrollee database. Initiates sales calls to individuals who have responded to advertising and direct mail campaigns. Identify contacts/partnerships for community events and targeted community outreach.
  • Remains compliant with all Federal, State, and CMS regulations and laws. Additionally comply with all BCBSMN compliance guidance.
  • Meets individually with prospective enrollees upon request.
  • Remains knowledgeable of competitor health plans available in our market to be able to effectively position BCBSMN individual consumer products. Analyzes benefit trends, the effectiveness of marketing materials and advertising campaigns, as well as make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the department.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business customer to contribute to the attainment of sales goals. Participates in developing annual sales plan in order to positively impact sale strategy as it relates to a strong community sales presence.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 4+ years' related experience or Bachelor's degree. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Must be creative, innovative and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through on sales process steps.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Sales acumen.
  • Positive attitude with the desire to embrace and promote teamwork.
  • Required to have and maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance or access to reliable transportation.
  • Possess or ability to acquire MN Resident Producer License in the lines of Life & Health/ Accident.
  • Travel as needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Sales experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the health care industry.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $69,000.00 - $72,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annual + Commission

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
