Global Regulatory Project Manager

As a part of Sherwin-Williams' Performance Coatings Group and EHS Regulatory team, this position will partner with the Global Packaging Division to develop, drive and monitor their global regulatory affairs strategy. This individual will work with Group and Division R&D, Marketing and Sales personnel around the world to establish a proactive and planful approach to drive business strategy and remain in compliance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

As a part of Sherwin-Williams' Performance Coatings Group and EHS Regulatory team, this position will partner with the Global Packaging Division to develop, drive and monitor their global regulatory affairs strategy. This individual will work with Group and Division R&D, Marketing and Sales personnel around the world to establish a proactive and planful approach to drive business strategy and remain in compliance.

Key responsibilities to include:




  • Organize and execute regulatory strategies to support the global Packaging business.
  • Regulatory liaison for R&D stage gate projects.
  • Develop and manage Regulatory timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and manage the process of new chemical inventory and food contact registrations and clearances.
  • Act independently, guided by broad objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to lead, develop, and ensure execution of product Regulatory strategy and broader deliverables to support the overall business strategy and operations.



This position will report to the Director of Regulatory Affairs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field



Preferred:



  • Master's degree in business or related field



KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • 8 years of related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Executive communication skills
  • Must be a team player who can identify opportunities and work across functional areas to provide solutions and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and have the confidence to lead and influence cross organizationally
  • Proven ability to build relationships.
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated use of critical thinking skills and successful problem resolution.
  • Use of a wide variety of IT applications



Preferred:



  • Management of direct report(s).
  • Experience in painting or coating industry with specific knowledge of coatings and Packaging product applications and materials.
  • Specific knowledge of global food packaging and global chemical control regulations including an awareness of new and emerging initiatives in these areas.
  • Experience with process or project management, preferably with certifications.



TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:



  • Advanced Microsoft Office/365 skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Data understanding and analysis

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OR OTHER TYPICAL OFFICE LOCATION)



  • 10%



WORK SCHEDULE:



  • Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
