Job Summary:

The Application Technical Systems Analyst II will augment the department wherever needed based on relative skills and experience by focusing on day-to-day operational tasks and responsibilities, new development projects, and modifications to existing development projects on an ad-hoc basis. It will also be responsible for special projects as assigned to support all strategic or tactical departmental requirements. This is a development role (i.e., you must be able to work effectively within shades of gray) where you must eventually become productive and self-sufficient after hands-on training and/or formal training within a reasonable amount of time as determined by management. A portion of time will be spent on creating new or reviewing existing documentation for accuracy and making corrections as needed for clarity. Candidate has to be comfortable and effective with development in a waterfall SDLC environment that may transition into an agile environment down the road.

Essential Job Duties:



  • Adhere/follow approved SDLC as it relates to development/integration/work-flow/ITSM
  • Analyze and provide opportunities for efficiencies with the use of the supported technology tools (i.e. BMC Client Management, FootPrints and all other technology services and/or applications assigned to the group as time progresses)
  • Support business and technology LOB on the design and usage of current tools to optimize operational improvements and efficiencies
  • Will assist or conduct the analysis and coordination of tool upgrades and improvements as assigned
  • Attends conferences and training to maintain proficiency in project support and participation as required
  • Participate with LOB partners to support application strategy, design, Build/Purchase decisions, deployment, operations, and improvements
  • Meet SLAs relative to change requests and application enhancements.
  • Participate and support assigned applications for Event, Incident, and Problem management
  • Support Change Management process with technical application knowledge and expertise to evaluate changes
  • Participate in the release and deployment management activities (requirements, design, testing, change management, communication of changes (as needed), and tracking of issues post-implementation)
  • Manage third party application vendors and monitor performance and capacity requirements for supported applications
  • Identify enhancements that are needed and work with LOB partners to prioritize changes
  • Ensure applications are built or implemented to meet business and operational requirements and ensure positive user experience (QA)
  • Define and deliver User Training for assigned applications
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for supported applications
  • Be a customer advocate relative to end-user experience for supported applications
  • Provisioning of user access and removal in assigned/supported applications


Minimum Qualifications:



  • B.S. degree in the related technology field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to set priorities and adapt to changes in a quick, professional manner
  • Ability to use discretion when handling confidential information
  • Ability to carry a mobile device and provide off-hours support as required
  • Ability to coordinate processes or projects and compile documentation
  • Ability to learn and assimilate information from multiple people and sources
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to think outside the box and the willingness to show initiative with teammates
  • Must have demonstrated experience implementing technology solutions and processes that require partnership with other IT areas and business units
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 20% annually
  • Absolutely trustworthy with high standards of personal integrity (demonstrated by an unblemished career history, complete lack of criminal convictions , etc.), and willingness to undergo vetting to verify this if necessary
  • Awareness and knowledge of technology processes
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Access, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Integration and development experience as it relates to reverse engineering a LOB process into an automated tool
  • Intermediate coding experience needed at minimum
  • Minimum of 3+ years (s) experience in Information Technology
  • 3-5+ years of banking experience
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel as it relates to but not limited to macros and pivot tables/charts
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Visio as it relates but is not limited to process/workflow, architecture diagrams
  • Ability to utilize Google Workspace as well for collaboration purposes


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous workflow/ITSM experience
  • Previous IT Asset Management experience
  • Previous CMDB and/or Service Catalog experience
  • Previous experience with Perl scripts
