The Position
The Opportunity We are seeking a talented Principal Scientist (Group Leader) to join the Department of Antibody Engineering in Genentech Research and Development (gRED), where we discover and engineer life-changing antibody drugs through pioneering science and technology. The successful candidate will lead a group to collaboratively develop bi/multi-specific antibodies by building new technologies and workflows to advance future internal antibody drug discovery programs and identify lead clinical candidates. Primary responsibilities will focus on three areas.
The individual should be passionate about developing creative and innovative protein-based technologies using skills in protein engineering, structural biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology. Exceptionally strong leadership and communications skills are essential for the position as the individual is expected to collaborate across Antibody Engineering to discover and advance next generation therapeutics. Relocation benefits are available for this posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $143,200 to $265,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
