Job Description

Overview: As an Embedded Software Scrum Master at Rockwell Automation, you will support two to three stable teams that develop products used by companies worldwide. You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, ensure the team follows Agile principles, and support the team in delivering high-quality embedded software solutions. You will also support us on our agile journey by engaging leaders with ideas. We use a scaled Scrum approach to manage our complex systems, providing teams with ownership while allowing flexibility to align with business priorities.

Team Environment: You will be part of a team that values openness, skill growth, and shared ownership. We are looking for individuals with experience in embedded software development who can relate to team members. We value T-shaped and E-shaped individuals who are enthusiastic about handling any challenge.

You will report to the Manager, Embedded Software & DevOps.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Planning, Daily Stand-Up, Refinement, Review, Retrospective).
  • Ensure the team follows Agile principles and practices.
  • Support us by helping evolve the scaled agile approach
  • Participate in cross business community of practice to grow others and your knowledge
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to help support a healthy backlog.
  • Foster collaboration among engineers across different teams
  • Communicate accomplishments, short-term goals, and hurdles with your team.
  • Embrace a Servant Leader mindset and foster team growth
  • Support, as Scrum Master, two or three teams

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar; or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires 2+ years of relevant work experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience designing and implementing software for embedded devices and systems
  • Knowledge of RTOS and interaction between RTOS applications, BSP, and associated drivers.
  • History of using object-oriented concepts such as inheritance and virtualization.
  • Knowledge of software and embedded software test methodologies.
  • Experience in the Industrial Automation industry
  • History of communicating and presenting to varying levels of an organization
  • Experience collaborating with local and global technical development teams.
