Responsibilities

The Non-licensed Primary Therapist conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, facilitates individual, family, and group therapies, to clients with primary OCD and Anxiety Disorders. This position works within the framework of Exposure Response & Prevention (ERP) and Newport's clinical model and provides clinical support to the program as needed.
Essential Duties:
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapies within the framework of Newport Healthcare's clinical model and ERP.
  • Facilitate individual exposure sessions daily, as well as weekly individual and family therapy.
  • Complete risk and OCD assessments and develop individualized safety plan upon admission, and biopsychosocial assessment and treatment plan with in timeline requirements.
  • Coordinate treatment goals and services in collaboration with client's treatment team, with 30- day treatment plan reviews and updates.
  • Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress, group notes, contact notes and discharge summaries) timely and according to established standards.
  • Facilitate new Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups.
  • Conduct ongoing risk or crisis assessments and provide intervention/management as needed.
  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
  • Enter data accurately within Outlook (email and calendaring), EMR, and online learning.
  • Communicate, proactively, as the clinical point of contact with families.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences representing Newport Healthcare as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Board registered (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or Psychologic Associate in the state in which services are provided required.
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents required.
  • Experience with mental health, OCD and anxiety disorders, preferred.
  • Willingness to be trained in ERP required.

Salary Range for this position is $32.31 - $44.42/ hour based on education and experience.
