SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Senior Production Manager and within the limits of established policy and procedure is responsible for first line supervision of direct and indirect labor engaged in manufacturing processes prescribed and designed for assigned area of the plant.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must be willing to be trained as a first aid provider, spill responder and fire responder.

2. Maintain a work force which will keep machines manned and serviced to satisfactorily secure uninterrupted, efficient, and economical production.

3. Apply all approved policies, procedures and programs as authorized by and received from the Senior Production Manager.

4. Review personnel problems and questions with Senior Production Manager and personally handle routine cases.

5. Ensure use of proper operator practices by instruction and continual follow up to maintain required standards of quality and keep waste at a minimum.

6. Maintain liaison with supervisors in other departments to expedite product flow through the plant.

7. Inform the Senior Production Manager concerning any unusual difficulties or problems

encountered in manufacturing processes on his shift in the department.

8. Facilitate, through team involvement, the safety program on his shift and ensure safe working

practices of all associates.

9. Share accountabilities for all off quality that is process related and responsible for implementing corrective action, along with the Process Improvement Team.

10. The primary contact for all associates on 3rd shift and will lead decision making processes which help drive plant flow and overall output.

11. Publish a daily feedback report and distribute to Management and Quality Facilitator Staff.

12. Other responsibilities as assigned by their manage
