Apply Now Company: Icon Shelters Job Location: Holland, MI Work Setting: In-Person Compensation: $22 - $28/hourly; Based on experience Summary The primary purpose of this position is to create and review 3D models and drawings for prefabricated steel shelters. The ideal candidate will be able to understand project requirements, generate CAD models for steel shelters and roofing systems, and create submittal and part drawings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conceptualize and design structures using Inventor and other CAD software Communicate design information clearly and effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences Perform other related duties as required Communication between Sales Reps or Customers during the design phase of a project Accurate development of layout drawings and details Accurate development of Submittal and Installation Drawings (Inventor / AutoCAD) Creation of Fabrication Prints Enter BOM into Epicor Process revisions to submittal and fabrication drawings Process print releases to the shop Competencies Analytical Decision-Making Communication Learning & Development Planning & Organizing Results Orientation Professionalism & Integrity Teamwork & Relationship-Building Risk-Taking/Creative Thinking Education and/or Experience High School Diploma and proven experience with CAD/Design Software minimally required Associate's Degree or engineering technology degree preferred Travel This position requires minimal to no travel Computer Skills Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access Demonstrated ability in Inventor 3-D software Demonstrated ability with AutoCad software Other Requirements Knowledge in detailing procedures Experience in 3D Modeling Highly self-motivated to take action and keep projects moving forward Other Skills This position interacts with Order processing, Project Manager, Inside Sales, Suppliers, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Purchasing.
