We are looking for a Specialty Pharmacy National Account Executive who has experience working in a matrix environment and ability to maintain priorities aligned with various stakeholders to join us in our Pharmacy Relations team. This is a field based role.
About the role
As a Specialty Pharmacy National Account Executive, you will lead National & Independent customer level efforts for key Specialty Pharmacy accounts and will identify opportunities, overcome obstacles, and work in close collaboration with Market Access, business unit(s), and other key internal stakeholders to execute the Specialty Pharmacy channel strategy. You will be responsible for interfacing and connecting with the Specialty Pharmacy data analytics team, Pricing and Contracting, Channel and Trade Relations, and Senior UCB Leadership to continue to develop and monitor metrics which will enable you to identify trends related to the patient experience. You will negotiate Specialty Pharmacy agreements that will support organizational priorities and objectives.
Who you'll work with
You will report to the Specialty Pharmacy National Account Lead as part of the Pharmacy Relations team within the
Market Access organization. You will be the primary point of contact and responsible for the relationship with key
Specialty Pharmacy accounts.
What you'll do
- Evaluate and monitor the quality of patient access services and ensure contract compliance for all programs within key strategic SP partners.
- Ensure actionable insights from SP channel/customers and their business environment to provide a basis for profitable partnering, through close and frequent contact with identified key SP accounts and market access stakeholders.
- Demonstrate excellence in understanding of each SP segment/customer, including: their business model, value proposition, medical and pharmacy reimbursement systems, organization for health care delivery, data capabilities, and processes for disease management and outcomes research.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication, negotiation and project management skills and knowledge of UCB products while establishing UCB as the preferred partner with our key customers.
- Collaborate with Patient Experience teams to ensure HUB and SP strategy/operations are aligned and coordinated.
- Ensure compliance and privacy guidelines are established and followed.

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience to match
- 5+ years of direct specialty pharmacy experience (operational or translational)
- 5+ years of experience leading teams and/or influencing through indirect leadership
- 3+ years of experience with more than one of the following within specialty pharmacy space: contract lifecycle management, pharmacy benefit access & reimbursement, data aggregation/analytics, hub/patient services
Preferred requirements
- Verbal and written communication skills to support internal and external relationships
- Experience in Immunology, Neurology, Rare and Orphan disease states
- Strong technology skills (ex. computer skills - power point, excel, word, internet web sites)
- Account management experience
- Executive Presence
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $181,600 - $238,400 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
