Fox Run: The Center for Children and Adolescents, a subsidiary of UHS, is recruiting for a Director of Plant Operations/Safety & Security Officer. Located in St. Clairsville (OH), this 100-bed facility thrives on passionate and dedicated personnel, while incorporating innovative technology and therapies for the betterment of our patients. The Director of Plant Operations/Safety supervises the daily operations and maintenance of the Facility.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and organize the operations of the facility including maintenance and groundskeeping while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes, standards of government , and regulatory agencies.
  • Serves as the facility's Safety Officer and serves on the Safety/Risk Management Committee.
  • Coordinates purchasing, in-services, and the overall supervision and operation of the Dietary, Maintenance, and Housekeeping Departments.
  • Provides safety training to staff.
  • Develops and implements safety plans as required by JCAHO.

Qualifications

Education:

Degree in facility management, equivalent to trade school degree, or related field preferred; or equivalent in related experience.

Experience:

  • A minimum of four (4) years related experience with at least one year of management experience.
  • Must have experience with reading blueprints and understand Life Safety Code and OSHA Regulations.
  • General knowledge of hospital construction, housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Must be familiar with applicable codes and standards.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with outside vendors in a professional manner.
  • Excellent organization, communication and judgment skills.

Licensure:

Must have valid driver's license.

Additional Requirements:

Must have complete knowledge of the physical plan within two weeks of hire.
