Position: RPG Developer

Location: Alpharetta, GA - Onsite 5 days a week

Duration: 6-Month Contract to Hire

We are seeking a Senior RPG Developer with extensive experience in IBM i (AS/400) environments to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical applications using RPG IV and RPG Free. The ideal candidate is an expert in RPG programming with a strong understanding of IBM i system functionality, business processes, and modernization efforts.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience developing programs in an IBM AS/400 environment using RPG ILE, RPG III, and CL
• Strong understanding of database design and SQL, particularly in DB2 and other relational databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
• Proficiency in using IBM iSeries development tools

• Experience working with JD Edwards World or EnterpriseOne
• General knowledge of FTP, SFTP, and working with IFS
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
• Experience with RPG web services and integrating RPG applications with modern web technologies
• Familiarity with AS/400 change management systems
• Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Java or C# (a plus)
