Manchester, NH

The opportunity

The Custodial Services Manager reports to our Director of Facilities and oversees the on-site custodial programs for our main campus in Manchester, NH. You will manage our staff to ensure university cleaning standards are met, conduct quality checks, review Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and train personnel. #LI-Onsite

What you'll do:

  • Manage custodial functions across all university areas to ensure tasks meet SNHU, ISSA, and APPA standards.
  • Perform quality checks and address issues as they arise.
  • Prepare schedules, reports, record employee work hours, calculate overtime, and monitor staffing levels/needs
  • Participate in the university's recycling program.
  • Monitor the budget throughout the year.
  • Organize and lead departmental meetings.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with other departments.
  • Attend required meetings, seminars, and workshops.
  • Be accessible and available for emergencies or to support the university's mission.
  • Oversee the responsibilities of the Custodial Services Administrator when they are out of the office.
  • Help with event setups, special function coverage, and weekend coverage.
  • Develop an inspection protocol with clear metrics and expectations for housekeeping staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 8+ years of experience in the custodial services field with at least 5 years in a supervisor/managerial role overseeing custodial staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in cleaning techniques, selecting and applying appropriate cleaning products, and using cleaning equipment.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be eligible to be insured by the university's auto insurance carrier to drive on campus when needed.

Below we have noted the entire pay band for this position. The actual offer will be based on experience, qualifications, and other business/organizational needs. We expect this particular position to be hired in the following target range of $62,000-$73,000.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $56,752.00 - $90,821.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $62,712.00 - $84,846.00.
