Supervisor, Logistics (LTL) - Hybrid Work Environment

Please note that a hybrid work environment is available once training is completed (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

The Supervisor, Logistics is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for an assigned product line's logistics team (either Less-than Truck Load or Diesel Exhaust Fluid) while interfacing with the DeliveryOne Network, BT, Payables, Sales and Customer Operations to ensure on-time delivery execution as well as accurate and efficient customer onboarding.

Responsibilities

Coaching and Mentoring

  • Develop sound training and clear strategies to keep team members focused on high performance throughout the year
  • Develop a coaching strategy for staff to achieve or exceed goals and objectives
    • Regularly review performance with staff
    • Help staff focus on what is within their control to achieve success
    • Celebrate success
    • Quickly address performance issues in a constructive manner
    • Create positive accountability and follow-up to achieve goals
  • Provide a regular feedback strategy for the department and other Mansfield Oil departments to evaluate results and make improvements
  • Ensure swift responsiveness and facilitate an environment of clear and concise communication throughout those parties impacted
  • Coordinate team member scheduling and staffing to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Provide a regular feedback strategy for the department to evaluate results and make improvements through a weekly status report
  • Maintain monthly reporting pertaining to logistics operations

Daily Operations and Customer Service

  • Prioritize daily responsibilities within the operations team, responding to all internal and external stakeholder requests in timely manner
  • Oversee new customer onboarding process and hyper-care
  • Coordinate with bid team to ensure accurate pricing, set ups, and transitions
  • Coordinate with internal departments to improve communications and processes
  • Implement and execute projects to support Mansfield's strategic growth model
  • Strengthen positive and enduring relationships with external vendors and customers that foster teamwork, high customer satisfaction, and maximum profitability for Mansfield Oil
  • Support Pre-Invoice billing team with escalated billing requests
  • Supervise team to source and execute same day delivery requests
  • Proactively work with Payables Team to ensure vendors are being paid on-time without issues
  • Identify and address problem areas with carriers & vendors in a timely and constructive manner using root cause analysis and proactive measures

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related or related work experience

Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 3 years' work experience post-college
  • At least 2 years' work experience in customer service, logistics and/or vendor relations
  • Supervisor/management experience a plus
  • Intermediate to expert Excel proficiency and confidence in other Microsoft Suite programs
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of US geography
  • Experience in developing & managing KPI's (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Experience in rate negotiation
  • Petroleum experience a plus

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • A strong desire to coach and develop employees
  • Ability to lead with a positive attitude

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work environment available once training is completed
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
