Position: Mortgage Loan Originator - Tiffin, OH
As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will market and originate residential loans while developing business development strategies that target potential AgCredit customers. You'll work to build relationships that produce referrals from builders, realtors, and other sources for residential loans.
What You'll Do:
- Actively performs business development, networking, and public relations activities with influencers as well as existing and potential customers.
- Ensures a positive AgCredit image by participating in association marketing activities and promotes association products and services.
- Establishes a network of referrals for mortgages in the market area.
- Develops and implements an organized and effective sales call plan to prospective customers and influencers.
- Works with appropriate portfolio loan officers in identifying and pursuing cross-selling opportunities. Makes referrals as appropriate.
- Follows market trends and developments to increase association's business in established and developing markets. Keeps informed of competition and their markets, primary products and services, major strengths and limitations, and their basic pricing arrangements.
- Gathers all information necessary for documentation, anal ysis, disclosure and underwriting loan requests.
- Analyzes complete credit and financial data on applicants to determine appropriate credit action to take under the loan program as established by association and investor guidelines.
- Utilizes loan origination and desktop underwriting software in preparing the loan package for processing.
- Provides appropriate consumer disclosures/protection information at the time of application.
- Upon receipt of loan approval, for in-house loans, completes any necessary processing and closes loan in a timely manner.
- Provides all necessary applicant information to the processor for secondary market loans, within 24 hours of receipt of application and supporting documentation.
- Prices loans and locks rates according to association guidelines.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field preferred
- Ability to travel within assigned territory to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and sales skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
