Pay Range: $18 - 20/Hourly

Summary

The Material Handler builds healthy communities through play and recreation by safely moving and delivering parts throughout the manufacturing plant.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Organize, push and sort material
  • Replenish racks, deliver material to work cells
  • Stage material on carts
  • Load and unload incoming trucks
  • Deliver products or material throughout the facility
  • All tasks are expected to be completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Work with supervisor and lead on all activities
  • Support other department activities & duties as assigned; must be willing and able to be cross trained on other warehouse functions
  • Must be able to drive a forklift
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Read and interpret prints
  • Responsible for storage and retrieval of production fixtures
  • Ensure every part is properly tagged and quantities are correct before moving to next functional area
  • Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
  • Keep designated area in clean, orderly manner
  • Keep all lifts clean and functional
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols
  • Set an example for team members of commitment, application of skill, work ethics and habits and personal character
  • Minimize production downtime by delivering materials and fixtures in a timely manner
  • Adherence to material stocking locations
  • Adherence to processes that ensure inventory accuracy (scanning in/out)

Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
  • Experience in blasting is desired
  • Requires the ability to operate various hand and power tools.
  • Requires the ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift.

Computer Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to speak effectively with employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.

Work Environment
