DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To provide a safe and secure workplace for employees, vendors and visitors while protecting company assets



RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Enforce security policies and regulations related to company operations

*Monitor security camera to watch for disruptions or unlawful activities

*Perform hourly rounds of the facility to ensure the premises are secure and employees are safe

*Monitor incoming and outbound vehicles, personnel and visitors

*Assist visitors in a courteous manner while following all established company visitation policies and procedures

*Respond to all emergencies and take appropriate action until emergency services arrive

*Create and maintain a daily patrol log to document incidents and activities

*Promptly provide management with detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents, accidents, or injuries

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed

*Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary



REQUIRED SKILLS

*Must be a team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:

*Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

*Read, analyze and interpret general business policies, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations

*Write reports, business correspondence and procedures including detailed incident reports

*Effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, vendors, customers and the general public

*Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

*Communicate in a clear and concise manner utilizing a 2-way radio or cell phone provided by the company

*Stand and walk for extended periods of time

*Lift/push/pull 40 lbs.

Must have:

*Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

*A service weapon and the ability to safely carry the firearm under Mississippi Law

*A tactical uniform; however, company will provide logo shirts

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*Basic math skills

*Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 5 years of experience providing armed building security



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

*Active or retired law enforcement experience preferred



REQUIRED EDUCATION

*High School Diploma or GED

*Certified Firearm Safety Training

*CPR certification or ability to obtain CPR certification



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
