Job Summary

This position coordinates, monitors, and evaluates support for a variety of research related institutional expectations and responsibilities to ensure compliance policies and procedures are aligned with federal, state regulations as well as University and University system research, policy and procedure; provides strategic advice, recommendations and compliance related oversight to various units or departments to ensure research compliance and support safe and ethical research best practice.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate schedules, documentation and databases to support compliance activities and conclusions
  • Maintain a master calendar of federal, state, agency reporting dates and deadlines. Maintain and coordinate with departments and primary faculty to maintain university permits and obligations to include coordination of reports, approvals and deadlines to ensure requirements are met
  • Assist in assessment of compliance readiness of various University areas at Division, department or unit level by working collaboratively with operational leaders; Develop and streamline procedures to promote compliance and efficiency
  • Coordinate and manage intake review processes for compliance committee applications; Provide consultation and guidance to researchers to assist with submission processes and compliance review facilitation
  • Work independently to evaluate and interpret submissions to assure completion while determining risk and compliance with regulations and ethical best practices
  • Provide operational support for compliance committees, including development of regulatory compliant meeting documentation and general compliance tracking


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience


Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Progressive responsibilities in an academic, research, or other complex environment

Preferred Experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience, with two years of compliance or audit experience
  • Supervisory experience


Proposed Salary

$22.36 - $29.95 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
