Product Operations Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a Product Operations Leader to join our team. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team and be responsible for ensuring a reliable supply of one or more commercially available medical products, globally.

This role will be located at our facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire, engage and develop a commercial manufacturing cross-functional team of leaders, including manufacturing leadership, product aligned engineering, and planning
  • Clarify and drive goals, targets, performance management and compensation processes for the teams you lead to maximize talents, skills and abilities of Associates
  • Partner with Supply Chain Leaders to establish key performance indicators and goals that deliver on improvements aligned with business, functional or divisional strategies and support improvements to our collective ability to meet customer demands, including but not limited to, COGS, yield, productivity, build plan performance, safety goals and investment forecasts
  • Create a zero-injury culture across the teams you support where EH&S requirements and execution of processes are integral to business decisions
  • Ensure supply availability for regional launches and engineering execution of design updates as needed while meeting design control and regulatory standards
  • Develop creative solutions and scenarios with a sense of urgency to reconcile supply and demand to deliver business outcomes; identify supply risks (sourcing, manufacturing, FGSC, sales, etc) and execute mitigation plans balancing value and risk in alignment with partners
  • Lead positively through change; ensure effective implementation of divisional and enterprise projects and initiatives as they impact the team
  • Partner with cross functional team (ML, MTL, POQL at a minimum) to provide strategic direction and vision for continuous improvement and OPEX/Lean principles and support the improvement of processes where it brings business value
  • Understand and ensure appropriate application of workforce related compliance policies, including training expectations, evolving quality system and regulatory requirements
  • Establishes clear expectations of equitable and inclusive behaviors from Associates and acts immediately to appropriately address negatively impactful or unfair behavior

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, or engineering and a minimum of 7 years related manufacturing experienceOR a minimum of 15 years' related manufacturing experience, including progressive operations leadership, in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 5 years people leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with the ability to develop associates and leaders from a variety of functional skill sets
  • Experience with Lean process improvement methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment with clear understanding of equitable practices
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical and standardized processes
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to set and monitor critical KPIs important to manufacturing operations and establish regular cadence to review and make adjustments that drive improvement
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with astrong sense of urgency and commitment to ship high quality product
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to advance the product portfolio capabilities
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
