Senior Industrial Hygienist

Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) is seeking a Senior Industrial Hygienist to support our nuclear solutions mission at the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Responsibilities:

The Y12 National Security Complex, simply known as Y12, has three primary national security missions that protect our country and our allies around the world. Maintaining the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile, reducing global threats, and fueling the U.S. Navy's nuclear propulsion program are the key activities at this historic site.

As the Senior Industrial Hygienist, you'll analyze workplaces to identify potential health risks and reduce exposure to physical, chemical, and biological hazards. Other responsibilities include:

• Prevent illness, injury, and stressors at workplaces.
• Perform project oversight inspections.
• Perform hazard assessments.
• Manage accident/injury investigations.
• Reviewing safety documents.
• Attending various project meetings.

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20 years of direct experience of providing workplace safety measures in a large-scale industrial environment.
• Must be able to climb ladders/stairs and work in hot/cold environments.
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be eligible for a security clearance and maintain eligibility throughout period of employment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) environment.
• An active DOE Q security clearance: however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status.
• Location/Work Arrangement:
• This position is full-time (Mon - Thurs 40-hour work week)
• Onsite position at the Y12 facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
• Some overtime may occur Mon - Sun.
